What is the dosage for Olysio®?
UPDATE: Janssen Therapeutics discontinued Olysio effective May 25, 2018.
According to Janssen, the manufacturer of Olysio, one capsule is taken daily with food. However, Olysio® should only be used in combination with other antiviral medications for chronic HCV infection. There are limitations to using Olysio® including those with moderate to severe hepatic impairment or patients who had previously failed therapy with a treatment regimen that included Olysio® or other HCV protein inhibitors. - Genotype 1 without cirrhosis – 12 weeks of Olysio with sofosbuvir
- Genotype 1 with compensated cirrhosis – 24 weeks of Olysio with sofosbuvir
- Genotype 1 or 4 without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis, with or without HIV co-infection – 12 weeks Olysio with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin.
